this year has gone by so fast, and we can’t quite grasp the fact that we are already planning for 2024 (where has the summer gone?).

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">As a means of planning 2024 activities and outputs, we want to come together in different settings to discuss research priorities. We will hold some meetings this year, some in Q1 2024. The Academic Advisory Council will
also be invited to those meetings, so that its members get a better understanding of what we are planning and get to know all the brilliant minds working at the Research Institute.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US"><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US">We are aware that you are all very busy and any extra meeting is an inconvenience – particularly as the year is drawing to a close and we are thinking about mulled wine and Christmas presents (or dreadful New Year’s parties).
We had announced in September that we would hold an FI Retreat in the fall. Alas, planning such a get-together has been more difficult than anticipated. Therefore, we are very happy that we finally found a date! Please mark your calendars on
<b>Friday, 8 December (09.00 – ca. 14.00/30 at DGAP)</b>. We will of course provide you with more information in due time.
